Supercharged sales for G.J. Honour

Nathan had spun up a basic website during lockdown to serve his local customers. He knew his website had the potential to reach customers across the UK, but realised he needed a more professional storefront if he was going to convert traffic into orders.

Here's what we've achieved together:

  • Gross sales 72% up

  • Average order value 12% up

  • 145% increase in customers

  • Increased footfall in stores - an unexpected but welcome benefit

  • Email automations generating 9.7% of gross sales. Not bad for hands off marketing!

The growth is driven from new customers and repeat customers in equal measure, which shows that customers are turning into repeat buyers, paving the way for sustained growth.

Find out how we did it

The text promotes their local butcher shop delivering to homes, mentioning they have served Surrey for 37 years. There is a quote about their locally sourced, high-welfare meat and a call-to-action button labeled "Start my order."

Before working with Good Not Lucky my website wasn't living up to its potential and just didn't have the visibility that I needed to bring in online sales.

The work Sam & Laura have performed has completely exceeded my expectations.

The growth in sales has been so much that I now have a dedicated team just servicing online orders.

And I've got a clear plan of how to continue the growth for year 3 and beyond.

Nathan Honour, G.J Honour Family Butchers

A webpage for G.J. Honour featuring a photo of two men, George and Nathan, smiling and holding a prepared steak, both wearing red aprons. The page promotes their meat delivery service, showing a grill with various meats cooking, and icons representing quality, local focus, family service, and delivery. There are categories of meat including chicken, beef, sausages, eggs, and pork, along with customer reviews and information about their sustainable farm animals.

So, how did we do it?

We redesigned the website to position G.J. Honour as a the quality, traditional family butcher shop that it is. With a strong emphasis on the quality of the produce and the welfare of the animals.

We also put the convenience factor of ordering meat online front and centre to go with consumers' online buying habits.

Our tailored Brand Style Guide helped Nathan to gather fresh brand and product photography to support the new look and feel of the website.

Clear collection pages and a conversion optimised product page made adding to basket a no-brainer.

And a friendly and thorough email welcome series helped to educate the customer about the quality of the produce and tempt them towards making their first purchase.

Nathan followed up with excellent customer service and the fantastic produce that we knew he would. Along with some automations to ensure there were no leaky holes in the bucket.

Hello loyal, returning customers!
